The company “GG Cables and wires EE” SRL was registered in the Republic of Moldova on 22 February 2012 and is part of the Austrian group Gebauer & Griller based in Vienna. The core activities of the company in the Republic of Moldova, which are similar to the types of activities of the parent company in Austria, will focus on the production of insulated wires and cables.
Gebauer & Griller is one of the world’s leading cable manufacturers for the automotive sector, with the company’s products being used by all German car manufacturers and beyond. In addition to wires and cables, the company also produces cables for the non-automotive sector (lift cables, data cables, special applications for audio-video or telecommunication cables) in its own factories. The company produces the whole range of cables, from single or multi-core to glass fiber, special shielding or high temperature resistant cables.
In addition to cables, Gebauer & Griller also has a niche portfolio in the production of aluminum contactors or sensors for car batteries. Through its research and development departments in Austria, the company has launched new technologies on the market that are now widely used by all similar manufacturers (e.g. high resistance welding or aluminum conductor soldering technology in a plasma environment).
The company has several subsidiaries and representative offices in 20 countries in Western and Central Europe (now also in the East) as well as in Asia and the Americas. The company has production plants in Austria (Linz and Poysdorf), the Czech Republic (Mikulov) and India (Bangalore) and a sales office in the United States (Birmingham, Michigan), with headquarters in Vienna.
The 2 plants alone (Poysdorf, Austria and Mikulov, Czech Republic) employ about 1500 people, and the number of employees in all subsidiaries is 2,062.

“Gebauer & Griller” has the latest technology for the production of copper or aluminum wires, using fully automated equipment. The technology used involves drawing the copper (successive reduction of the diameter of the strip) and twisting several strips thus obtained to give the mechanical strength and elasticity needed for a cable intended for automotive production. Finally, the cable is coated with an insulation, the formula of which is specific to the company “Gebauer & Griller”, the material being produced at the factory in Poysdorf, Austria.
“Gebauer & Griller” is certified according to ISO 9001 quality management system, ISO TS 16949 quality management system in the automotive industry. In addition, it is one of the few accredited companies in terms of the recent environmental standards ISO 140001 respectively OHSAS 180001 certifying compliance with the requirements for occupational health and safety. In addition, all the requirements of specialized, industry-specific standards (DA& or ASME) are complied with. All activities and processes in all group subsidiaries are documented in accordance with the above standards.
