BauTex uses fiberglass to produce high-tech materials. “Beauty and strength” – these are their main areas of application: fiberglass wallpaper can have exquisite patterns and has become the No. 1 choice for offices and hospitals due to its durability and fire resistance.
The company also produces technical fabrics, for example for reinforcing roofs, yachts, cars, windmill blades or road paving. It employs about circa 600 people, has an annual turnover of around €50 million and produces more than 150 million m2 of fabric a year. Orders even come from China, and a third of the products are exported, primarily to Germany.
