On 24 September 2010, subzone no.3 was created with a total area of 110 ha – public land, located in Balti mun. on the territory of the former airport. The total area of subarea no.3 is 136 ha, of which 110 ha are destined for investment projects in free zone regime, the rest of the territory being destined for the creation of the necessary social infrastructure related to industrial projects, such as parking, hotel and restaurant, exhibition center, business-center.<\/p>\n
Sub-area 3 was created with the aim of attracting greenfield investment projects, but in the absence of the necessary technical infrastructure, the territory seemed extremely unattractive to investors, who preferred to go to areas offering better conditions in this respect, or to other countries with more advanced utility infrastructure.<\/p>\n
Thus, for 5 years, the administration of the “Balti” FEZ has worked intensively to develop the necessary utility network in order to increase the investment attractiveness of the sub-area.<\/p>\n
As a result of the efforts and infrastructure development projects carried out by the administration of the “Balti” FEZ, subzone No. 3 has become one of the largest industrial platforms in the country, equipped with all the necessary technical infrastructure.<\/p>\n
This fact has contributed to greenfield investment attraction and already several companies invested in the territory of subzone no.3 in the municipality Balti municipality, namely:<\/p>\n
